Our mortgage customers generally ask us three main questions. This online tool will help you answer them in 2 simple stages:

Stage 1 – How Much? – Affordability

  • How much can I borrow?
  • How much will it cost?

Stage 2 – Decision in Principle

  • Can I get the mortgage I want?

A Decision in Principle is needed for various reasons, but especially if you want to buy a home. It shows others you are credit-worthy and good to go. So, let us help you get a Decision in Principle sorted as quickly as possible. It only takes a few minutes to complete. Before you hit the button, please read the useful tips below;

Useful Tips

  1. As with any tool it is only as good as the person using it. Please only input honest and accurate information, otherwise the information you get out will be meaningless.
  2. Be organised – for example, it is worth having to hand your income break down on a yearly basis or, if you are self-employed, know how much your last two years net profits have been. Be aware what debts you have and how much you spend on monthly expenses (e.g. childcare costs and so on). This will give you a clearer picture of your borrowing potential.

It is important to remember that this handy tool is a guide for your journey, a starting point. It is not designed to replace personal mortgage advice and cover all the variables that are part of the full mortgage journey. However, relax, we will be by your side to help you along the way with expert advice to ensure your mortgage is the right one for you.
